Birds of Prey Photography Workshop – North Yorkshire Moors – 29th August 2017

In association with Abbey Falconry, join us for a photography session high up on the North Yorkshire Moors where we will be photographing majestic Birds of Prey at close quarters, and in flight.

Capture wonderful birds including a Hawk, Barn Owls, a stunning Bengal Eagle Owl and Falcons, set to a backdrop of glorious countryside. With a meeting time of 6pm, we are hoping to incorporate the best light of the day (Sunset 8pm).

Abbey Falconry are specialists in providing Bird Of Prey experiences and will offer us access to their collection of beautiful birds, with lots of time to perfect your photographs. The emphasis will be solely on creating the best possible pictures.

Head Falconer Mary Rudgard will be on hand to offer her expertise while pro photographer Michael Cartwright will be available to provide tips on creating the perfect image.

“Falconry has always been a huge part of my life, whether I was working in restaurants or the media, it’s all I ever wanted to do.

Having been trained by some of the most experienced falconry mentors in the UK for the past 10+ years, I offer safe and professional encounters.

I want to share my passion with other people and show them how impressive birds of prey are…” Mary Rudgard

The meeting point is The Lordstones Car Park, Carlton Bank, North York Moors at 6pm. This will give us a range of viewpoints, including a sweeping panorama set high above Cleveland, while the abundance of foliage in the area will give additional backdrops. The location will also provide ample parking and plenty of space for photographers to work in.

The cost is £25 per photographer and represents excellent value when compared with similar experiences of this nature. Spaces are on a first come first served basis and are available by pre booking online or in the studio (by telephone or in person) only. We expect this event to be very popular and early booking is highly advised.

Car share/lifts to the Moors may be possible for those that don’t drive.
